Normalment, a les nostres latituds, l\u2019hivern es caracteritza pel domini del temps estable i de les altes pressions<\/mark><\/strong>. No obstant, hi ha algunes excepcions, com \u00e9s el cas de l\u2019alta muntanya on aquests per\u00edodes estables tamb\u00e9 s\u2019alternen amb temporals de neu i amb condicions que poden arribar a ser extremes, amb temperatures molt baixes i vent molt fort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aquest any, per\u00f2, hem tingut un hivern completament excepcional: el Servei Meteorol\u00f2gic de Catalunya<\/em> (SMC) ha catalogat aquesta temporada d\u2019hivern 2025-2026 com \u201cl\u2019hivern m\u00e9s pluj\u00f3s dels \u00faltims 30 anys<\/mark><\/strong>\u201d. Per\u00f2, com \u00e9s que aquest any l\u2019hivern ha sigut tant pluj\u00f3s? Qu\u00e8 \u00e9s el que hi ha darrere d\u2019aquesta fita?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019explicaci\u00f3 l\u2019hem de buscar a l\u2019Atl\u00e0ntic. Normalment, les altes pressions se situen al voltant de les illes A\u00e7ores. \u00c9s el que es coneix com l\u2019Anticicl\u00f3 de les A\u00e7ores<\/em>, una zona d\u2019altes pressions que afecta, de manera indirecta, a la meteorologia de la Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e8rica. Aquesta alta, situada a latituds mitjanes de l\u2019Atl\u00e0ntic, \u00e9s la responsable d\u2019enviar les borrasques a latituds m\u00e9s altes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En meteorologia, el patr\u00f3 de baixes i altes que se situen a l\u2019Atl\u00e0ntic es coneix com North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO)<\/mark><\/strong><\/em>, un patr\u00f3 el qual influeix en la meteorologia de Nord-Am\u00e8rica i Europa. Quan l\u2019anticicl\u00f3 de les A\u00e7ores est\u00e0 ben situat en aquesta zona geogr\u00e0fica, es parla d\u2019una NAO positiva (NAO+)<\/mark><\/strong>, mentre que si aquest anticicl\u00f3 \u00e9s m\u00e9s feble o se situa m\u00e9s al nord, parlem d\u2019un patr\u00f3 de NAO negativa (NAO-)<\/mark><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La NAO- ha jugat un paper essencial en aquest hivern tan pluj\u00f3s. L\u2019abs\u00e8ncia de les altes pressions que desviessin les baixes al nord de l\u2019Atl\u00e0ntic ha perm\u00e8s un tren de borrasques a les nostres latituds<\/mark><\/strong>, que han deixat r\u00e8cords de pluja a Catalunya, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 en altres regions de la pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e8rica, sobretot a la fa\u00e7ana atl\u00e0ntica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A m\u00e9s, aquestes borrasques que viatjaven en latituds inferiors, algunes d\u2019elles s\u2019a\u00efllaven de la circulaci\u00f3 general de l\u2019atmosfera<\/mark><\/strong>. El resultat? Algunes d\u2019elles han anat a parar a la Mediterr\u00e0nia, generant situacions de Llevant<\/mark><\/strong> amb precipitacions molt intenses en poques hores. Diversos temporals han polvoritzat alguns r\u00e8cords de precipitaci\u00f3, i fins i tot de neu acumulada, especialment al Pirineu oriental on no recordaven un hivern tan niv\u00f3s des de mitjans dels anys 90.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ara, amb la primavera a la porta, els pantans estan gaireb\u00e9 al l\u00edmit de la seva capacitat <\/mark><\/strong>i les reserves de neu continuen marcant m\u00e9s de dos metres de neu a les cotes m\u00e9s altes. Caldr\u00e0 veure si aquesta primavera continua aix\u00ed de plujosa, o, si pel contrari, l\u2019anticicl\u00f3 de les A\u00e7ores vol apropar-se a casa nostra i donar unes setmanes (o mesos) de pausa a tanta pluja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
